The New Cartier Captivewatch model was presented during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) 2010.

This is the brand’s first manufacture self-winding movement and it features a slew of improvements over the garden-variety ETA clone mechanisms, including ceramic ball bearings and the use of a pawl system over reversers.

Calibre de Cartier is available in steel, pink gold or a combination of the two. Three dial variants are possible at this time: black, white or chocolate brown. This is the most basic option for this model, with the watch showing hours, minutes, small seconds and date (via the aperture at 3 o’clock).

The Rotonde de Cartier Flying Tourbillon Skeleton watch fascinates the glance by every single detail reflecting its sophisticated nature. Your attention will be caught by a flying tourbillon. The Concept ID One watch from Cartier comes with a unique 46 mm case, rendered in niobium-titanium. Both front and backsides of the innovative Cartier watch are fitted with sapphire crystals.

At the heart of the watch beats the brand’s proprietary, hand-wound mechanical movement. It contains Spiral Zerodur hairspring, which needs zero regulation.

Set with 17 rubies, the movement is composed of 177 individual parts and features the dimensions of 36,8 mm x 6,12 mm: the diameter and thickness are indicated respectively. This model movement is fitted with a double barrel, offering a 52-hour power reserve.

The anchor and anchor wheel are produced from carbon and glass, with no pallets. The brass Ebauches feature a high-tech ADLC coating. The oscillating weight is manufactured from ADLC-treated tungsten carbide. The balance frequency constitutes 28,800 vibrations per hour.
